I'm overly impressed and horrified at the toilets I have seen on this trip. Some of my favourites have been at Port Lincoln, Eucla and Esperance. These were the flushing variety and were well maintained. The longdrops are normally very very stinky. Sometimes the bowl is very narrow and people tend to make a horrible mess. Once someone left a used nappy in the toilet! You know about the longdrop, now let me tell you about the dreaded short drop. I've only met one of them (at Cactus beach) and I never want to have that experience again. It is like pooing in a bucket and your bum is 15 cm away from someones poo. Then you pour some lime in and it all dries up!
In summary the toilets have been greviously disgusting!
