End of school



The end of the school year has arrived at Broome Primary. The kids have had another great year there and have had heaps of great experiences. The end of year concert was fantastic. Another warm night out under the boabs! Ruby and Darcy helped to compare the night and did a great job.

Tracey worked with the kinder kids and loved it.

Anna is 7!

Anna had half of her birthday in Perth and then flew back to Perth for the other half. She had high tea at "flying teapots", an Alice in wonderland inspired tea room in Perth and dinner back in Broome. Her own ipod was her favorite present and she hasnt stopped singing since.

Wooooo Hoooooo Christmas is here!!

Merry Christmas everone!!!! I really loved Christmas because I got a eucalaly and so has Holly and now we can play together.

Its "Gapo"

The woodge has finally lost her top choppers. One was loose and Rube smacked her in the face with the soccer ball to dislodge the good one, and next thing you know you loose them both on the same day!

The Barn Hill Station fairies left some pindan, some gumleaves, some glitter, some shells and ten smackers.

Pearl Bay Dancing Concert

Ruby and Anna performed beautifully in the Pearl Bay dancing concert.

Ruby has been training hard in her acrobatic class and her group cartwheeled, tumbled and jumped all over the stage and were clearly the best act of the night (equal with Annas of course).

Anna and her mates did an interpretation of "Kung Fu Fighting" and "Bear Necessity" very competently.

Back in school

We are in Broome for 6 months, so the kids have agreed to go back to school. They are in their second week at Broome primary and are loving it (compared with us teaching them).

Rube and Darce are in the same class in grade 4 and Anna is in grade 1.

The school is beautiful and green and has alot more real grass than Coburg Primary.

School runs from 8am til 2pm, so there is still plenty of time for the beach after school. We live virtually across the road, which means that we will probably be late quite often.

Anna’s photography

Anna's photography career continues to blossom. If the camera is left unattended it usually ends up with a series of photos like these on it. We're not sure what the genre is or if she hasn't worked out that its meant to be pointing away from the operator.

Monkey Mia

Monkey Mia was what Anna has been waiting for since leaving Melbourne. She wasn't put of by the crowds of people milling about when the dolphins arrived and thought it was the best thing ever. The kids got to feed the dolphins and we had a couple of very relaxing days on the lovely green grass under the shade of some nice trees.

Adelaide & Annas birthday

Unfortunately the woodge spent her 6th birthday in the Adelaide childrens hospital with asthma. She was very brave and enjoyed her Macca's lunch as soon as she got out.

Adelaide was otherwise enjoyable, saw some of the tour down under, the Adelaide oval, the Rundle mall markets, the zoo and the Pandas and more! We also caught up with Louise Gilbert and kids. Young Sam managed to get the biggest splinter of all time in his foot which was pretty noisy, but they were otherwise in good spirits.

Kangaroo Island

Had a fantastic time on KI. Caught up with Arnie & Tracey and (extended) family at Emu bay. Also stayed with Austin and Judy who were old friends of Traceys dad Al. Great to catch up with them and hear some of the old stories. Austin slipped us a crayfish on the way out which was vey tasty.

Anna's first tooth finally came out and she had a visit from the KI tooth fairy which was very generous.

Victor Harbour, Port Elliot, Deep Creek Con.Park

Very hot! Ruby, Darcy and Anna did their first days school. And enjoyed the air conditioned comfort of the museums in Victor Harbour.

This tooth is getty very loose.

Dear Fairies. It's Anna here. I've got 2 wobbly teeth now. I hope you collect my teeth because I think one is going to fall out at Christmas time. Love from Anna.

Finishing school

Hi, My name is Anna AKA "The Woodge". I am 5 years old and live in Coburg and go to Coburg Primary. I like dolphins and my favourite colours are orange and green. I don't like pumpkin and I have a fear of spiders. When I go around Australia I'm going to miss; my dog Pablo, my sister, my friends and my teacher Kerry. When I leave I am looking forward to; going to the theme parks, going to Tassie, going to Queensland and lots more!!!
